Sunday, November 15th, 2026 - Hefenlager Homebrew Contest
Dead Language is hosting its 2nd homebrew contest! Sponsored by Homebrew Connection (Haddam, CT), this competition is focused on Hefeweizens, Lagers and Central European beer styles- in particular Light Lagers, Dark Lagers, Specialty Lagers & Faux Lagers.
The judging will take place on Sun., Nov. 15th-- but the deadline for submissions is Sunday November 1st 6p. Drop-off locations include Dead Language (Hartford) & Homebrew Connection (Haddam).
Friday, November 27th, 2026 - Black Friday Brew Day
If you have ever been curious about the brewing process, or are looking to upgrade your methods/equipment, this is an event you will want to check out. This event is free and open to the public. We will have multiple brewers doing what they do best on their very own equipment right outside of our shop. Come check them out as they use their individual methods to brew up their very own batch of beer. Happening on November 27th from 9am-6pm, we will have the brewers as well as live music, food, and, of course, sampling of a variety of homebrews. Shop will be open for business during the event as well. Let us know if you would like to brew with us. Cheers
Homebrewers Group Deliveries
It can be difficult sometimes, to travel long distances to pick up what you need. As a solution to this problem, I am starting a Homebrew Group Delivery Program. Once or twice a month, I will travel to a different brewery in and around the state to meet with you all to deliver orders. This will allow us to maximize deliveries while minimizing travel for all involved. Plus, we can get together for a pint to catch up and discuss the hobby. You will be able to pay for an order ahead of time or upon delivery and choose from the list of dates and locations to pick up your order. Dates and times for breweries to be visited are listed below and will be added to on a regular basis. If you have a suggestion for a location, feel free to reach out. Cheers.
